Celebrating its 10th year, Barktoberfest™ is Middle Tennessee's biggest, longest running dog festival, welcoming an estimated 5,000 to 8,000 guests! Awarded 3rd place for "BEST FESTIVAL" in The Tennessean's 2013 Toast of Music City Awards... the only pet festival to place in the category.
This year, Barktoberfest takes place at BiCentennial Park on the north side of downtown Nashville beyond the reach of the usual traffic and parking congestion. This gorgeous, familiar festival space offers sprawling fields, lots of shaded areas and local pet-friendly venues to enjoy before and after the festival including the Nashville Farmers Market. We chose to make the move to this beautiful venue in order to provide even more outdoor space for pooch pals, special events such as the Dog Lure Run, as well as a more central location for our guests.
As always, Barktoberfest will feature a fabulous variety of food trucks, a pet adoption fair featuring local rescue groups and shelters, and local vendor booths to browse and shop. There will also be live music, canine sport demonstrations and fun activities for the whole family.
Of course, the highlight of Barktoberfest is always our Howl-O-Ween Costume Contests, where humans and pooch pals alike compete for fun and fabulous prizes! Costume contests are $15 per entry per contest, and include 3 contests this year: a Kids Costume Contest (ages 3 - 12), a Dog Costume Contest and our Dog + Human Costume Combo Contest.
Don't miss Middle Tennessee's most fun and festive fall event! Leash up your pooch pal and bring the whole family in costume for an afternoon of fall fun!
